5 Summer Events You Don’t Want To Miss

1) Hot Days. Cool Films

Get in the spirit of summer with free local movie nights. The Downtown Central Library hosts these select summer showings, which will surely cater to any movie buff. Kids can enjoy Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of The Were-Rabbit, while sci-fi fanatics can tune in for flicks such as Invaders From Mars, Planet of the Apes and Alien.

2) Bradenton Downtown Ghost Walk

The spookiest event in Bradenton is running from June 14-18! Explore the history of our city in a new light with this “haunting adventure.” Visit a mysterious theater, inn, courthouse and more. Grab friends and family (if you dare) and embark on this 90-minute walking tour.

3) Artwalk Weekend

The first weekend of July marks an annual celebration of local culture! Socialize in The Village of the Arts, a neighborhood known for its art scene, cuisine, shopping and entertainment, and experience one of the most popular places in Manatee County.

4) July 4th Fireworks on Manatee River

Celebrate with loved ones at the Manatee River. This spectacular fireworks display takes place above the river’s sparking waters, creating one of the most memorable moments of the year. Fireworks are set to begin around 9:00PM.

5) Main Street Live!

Families of all ages can enjoy the neighborhood’s “most popular street party!” Offering guests a selection of vendors, music, entertainment and more, this event brings Old Main Street to life for a time of food, friends and fun. Learn more here.
