Game Night is Fun For Everyone

Game night allows people of all ages to come together to play classic games. After all, who doesn’t enjoy playing Monopoly, Scrabble or Life? Or even games like Jenga, Four in a Row or Mancala? Games like these not only are fun for all ages, they also promote healthy communication and problem-solving. Most of the time, game night requires an answer to a riddle, a clue to be found or ways to capture the mouse in a trap. Our children and senior residents can hone in their critical thinking skills with game night.

Speaking of children, children take games very seriously. It is very important for children to finally put their phones and other electronic devices to rest and learn good sportsmanship skills. The last thing anyone wants is to have a child become physically upset after a game. An easy fix to this problem would be to engage in more cooperative, team-building games. For example, Forbidden Island, Pandemic, or Magic Maze allows the players to get together to beat the game itself and not pin anyone against each other.

Whatever games are chosen by our game night host, it is bound to bring people together and create memories. With everyone gathered around the table for instance, game night can strengthen the relationships you have with your family and your neighbors. You, your children or your grandchildren might make some new friends with our game night.

Do you have any game suggestions that would work best for our community? If you are a game night fanatic and would love to be our host, please contact Vicky Gill at vicki@palmasolabayclub.com.
